Formula E – Ci sarà tanta Italia nella nuova Gen4

La prossima generazione di vetture di Formula E – la cosiddetta Gen4 – parlerà un po’ più italiano: la Podium Advanced Technologies, azienda che ha sede in Valle d’Aosta, si è aggiudicata il tender per diventare fornitore unico di sistemi di batterie a partire dal 2026.

Pietra miliare. “Dopo aver assicurato a Ducati la fornitura per il Mondiale di MotoE, questo nuovo risultato conferma Podium Advanced Technologies come il principale fornitore di sistemi di batterie ad alte prestazioni nel motorsport mondiale”, ha orgogliosamente sottolineato Francesco Monti, ceo dell’azienda di Pont-Saint-Martin. “Questo risultato è frutto di un lungo percorso che si sta ora concretizzando in una nuova pietra miliare. Ci attende una sfida impegnativa, ma la affronteremo con la stessa passione e lo stesso impegno di sempre per continuare a raggiungere nuovi traguardi”, ha aggiunto.

Gli altri fornitori. Oltre alla Podium, la FIA ha confermato i fornitori che contribuiranno a realizzare le nuovissime Gen4 che debutteranno nel 2026. Spark Racing Technology continuerà a fornire i telai delle monoposto, come ha fatto dall’inizio del campionato, mentre la Marelli si occuperà del propulsore anteriore, estendendo così la lunga collaborazione del marchio italiano con la FIA. Per quanto riguarda gli pneumatici, invece, dopo oltre dieci anni torna il nome della Bridgestone in una competizione iridata targata FIA.
